Sexing chickens

Hi! We got 4 chickens in May. We tried to sex them there, and thought we got all hens. They're about 3 1/2 months old now. This morning one of our hens, LuLu, started trying to crow! Is there a simple way to identify males vs. females at this age? BTW, we think they are mixed breeds, but they look like 1 Barred Rock, 1 Rhode Island Red, and 2 Americanas.
Also, has anyone had problems here in ABQ with crowing? We live in the city and are a bit wary of what our neighbors might say. LuLu is an official pet, but we didn't want to have to deal with the noise issues.

Well, if you live in ABQ you can have 1 rooster, but your neighbors can still complain. Some neighborhoods are more friendly to roosters than others, and some roosters crow more than others. So it really depends.
As far as sexing, I have found it to be difficult for young birds. Crowing will verify one way or the other.
how do you tell sex of chicken when first hatch'. pls when you chang roster how long does it take for new roster to firtel the eggs
